Around Fiè allo Sciliar

HIKES DIRECTLY FROM THE FARM

Start your journey of discovery directly from our farm. Explore the Prügelweg, which leads you to our local mountain, the Schlern. Perfect for those who want to go high and experience unforgettable summit moments at over 2,500 meters above sea level. We think it’s one of the most beautiful panoramic hikes in the country!

Would you prefer a more leisurely hike with a stop at a hut? Then we recommend a trip to the Hofer Alpl, the Tuff Alm or the Tschafon Hut. These routes take you through shady forests to promising excursion destinations. As a reward, you can fortify yourself with the best dumplings and a delicious apple strudel and enjoy the view.

In autumn we recommend a Törggele hike on the Oachner Höfeweg. Here, where chestnuts and wine grow, farm taverns open their farmhouses in autumn and delight guests with young wine and South Tyrolean delicacies such as homemade Schlutzkrapfen, dumplings, house sausages with sauerkraut, sweet donuts and fried chestnuts.

The Völser Weiher lake

The Völser Weiher lake is considered one of the most beautiful bathing lakes in South Tyrol and one of the cleanest natural bathing lakes in Italy. Located at the foot of the Sciliar, it is an idyllic place to dream and perfect for a refreshing swim in summer.

Ice skating & hockey

But even in winter the pond unfolds its magic as a paradise for ice skaters. Here you can simply glide, do elegant pirouettes, play hockey and feel the warming sun on your skin.

Prösels Castle

Of course, you should also see the fairytale-like and magnificent Renaissance castle near Fiè allo Sciliar, which still delights visitors today. Regular exhibitions and events make Prösels Castle shine. Its Gothic architecture testifies to a time that is part of our country’s history. You can visit it every day in summer and once a week in winter and explore the knight’s hall, the fireplace hall, the castle chapel and the famous collection of weapons and armor that take you back to times gone by.

THE CITIES OF BOLZANO AND BRIXEN

Bolzano is a lively center where two cultures meet. Brixen, a picturesque medieval town on the Eisack, known for the Neustift monastery and the tranquil old town with the Hofburg. Both can be reached in a 20 to 30 minute drive and are the perfect places for shopping under cozy arcades, past traditional houses and charming boutiques.

Hiking summer on the Seiser Alm and the Rosengarten group

Ums near Fiè allo Sciliar is the ideal starting point for hikes on the Seiser Alm and in the Rosengarten group. On one side the largest high mountain pasture in Europe in an incredible panoramic position, on the other the Vajolet towers. Blooming alpine meadows, dark green forests and mountain peaks glittering in the sun invite you to hike, bike and explore.

SKI VACATION ON THE SEISER ALM

181 kilometers of slopes, 50 cozy huts and over 80 kilometers of cross-country ski trails on the Seiser Alm – a perfect winter holiday like in a picture book. The fantastic panorama, plenty of refreshment stops and first-class snow conditions ensure wonderful winter days for beginners and experts. In addition to skiing and cross-country skiing, the largest high alpine pasture in Europe also invites you to winter hiking and tobogganing.

By bus or car

The Seiser Alm ski area can be easily reached by shuttle bus or car in just a few minutes.
